TLRH partnered with the Alliance of Career Development Nonprofits (ACDN) to host Smart & Sexy 2021: Courage To Thrive on March 31, 2021! It was an empowering day! The 2021 event was co-sponsored by the Halifax Community College, Small Business Center.
Our Guest Speakers
Ms. DeKesha Williams, known as the Virtual COO, Business Strategist, and Leadership Development Trainer, is the CEO of Vizions Enterprise. Vizions Enterprise helps clients with business expansion and infrastructure development. Ms. Williams leverages over 20 years of experience in retail management to help other entrepreneurs develop practical business strategies that include: solutions to increase profitability, strategies to increase foot traffic, brand development and more. In addition to her many years of experience, Ms. Williams holds a B.A. degree in Fashion Merchandising and a M.B.A degree in Finance.
Ms. Lillian Jenkins Lillian M. Jenkins is currently employed with the Federal government at Arlington National Cemetery where she serves as the Congressional Affairs Contact Officer. Lillian is a licensed professional counselor in Virginia, who is passionate about her clients and helping them to become the best versions of themselves. Lillian is a military veteran who served 20 years in the United States Army. She is also a humanitarian who spent 14 months as a missionary in Ghana, West Africa, she has also served as a missionary in other undeveloped countries, and has provided outreach to individuals in prisons, detention centers, and nursing homes. Lillian is perceived as a caring, compassionate and empathetic leader who is able to motivate children and adults toward a more positive future. Lillian is a lifelong learner as she holds a Bachelor of Science in Business Education from Saint Paul’s College, a Masters of Arts in Management from Webster’s University, a Master of Education from George Mason University and a Master of Arts in Professional Counseling from Liberty University.
Other participants include Workshop host Dr. Stephanie Hampton Credle, founder and President of Transforming Lives & Restoring Hope, Inc. Dr. Credle is the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Chrysalis Enterprises, LLC located in Roanoke Rapids, NC. Dr. Credle is an accomplished practitioner with over thirty years of government service and twenty-five years of EEO experience. Dr. Credle retired from federal service in August 2020 after serving as the NAVSEA Equal Employment Opportunity Director, responsible for developing and executing command-wide EEO programs for over 35,000 employees worldwide.
